A Little Slice of Paradise

Earlier this year, my colleague, Harry Eagens, accompanied me to La Isla Bonita, Ambergris Caye, Belize, to look at some real estate opportunities there. Upon our return, we shared our thoughts on this island paradise. If you missed it, you can revisit it here.
Harry and I were both impressed with Ambergris Caye. The beauty was unquestioned. The opportunity was apparent. And, we promised to keep our eyes peeled for worthwhile projects to consider.

Oceanside development information has just been released for the Grand Baymen resort community on Ambergris Caye. This plot of land is where Harry and I stayed when we made our fact-finding trip earlier this year. It is undergoing a complete redevelopment, and you are one of the first to hear about it.
Grand Baymen Oceanside (the current Exotic Caye Beach Resort pad site) consists of 440 feet of direct, Caribbean front property with plans for an incredible British colonial resort hotel with modern amenities and old world charm. It is slated to be a branded hotel, with the largest conference space on the island. It is the first of its kind in all of Belize and the only branded hotel on the island as well.
ECI (the development company… and our hosts earlier this year) has decided to release about 54 out of 144 units, and keep the remaining 90 units. This model was chosen because like the future owners, ECI is looking forward to cash-flowing investment on one of the most popular islands in the world.
Below you'll see a few documents to go through. As you're flipping through the price list, keep in mind these units will be branded and the projection rates were based on the hotel chain's own market research on the island.
Our message here at ASI has been a consistent one for 33 years. Don’t keep all your assets in any one country, in any one currency or in any one asset class or investment.
